Bryant Palmer Soto, Architects, located in the South Bay area of the Los Angeles basin, provides comprehensive architectural and civil engineering services to clients throughout the western United States. In competitive hiring scenarios, three Non-Profit Ventures clients have selected BPS for specialized projects. One project was for an NPV client in Arizona that had done six facility master plans over a 25-year period. Peter Phinney, chief design architect for BPS, conducted a new master plan process that is now being implemented. The plan retains the historical and architectural character of the campus, while creatively bridging the old with the new.
A second, extremely complex project, on a former military reservation, required experience and expertise in civil engineering, geotechnical, and environmental planning, as well as in architecture. The campus is designed to support sustainable practices from the infrastructure up, minimizing building footprint while maximizing water and solar energy considerations. All of this is planned in the context of creating a village environment highlighted by a major park and water features running through the campus.
BPS is currently guiding a college through a master planning project designed to integrate housing, academic, and student services elements of the campus.
